LIBRARY SHABBAT DINNER
Fri., Nov. 8 at 6:00 p.m.

 

On Friday, November 8, we will have our final Library Shabbat dinner of 2019. If you are looking for a warm intimate way to spend Friday night, please give us a try. If you have never joined us for a Library Shabbat dinner, we would love to have you. If you are a " regular" at our dinners, we would also love to have you. The Kohelet Board has voted to participate in Clean Speech Colorado, a community-wide program during the month of November to understand and combat “lashon hara” or negative, hurtful speech.   Stay tuned for ways to incorporate Clean Speech Colorado ideas at Kohelet and in our homes.   See below for an article outlining the need for such a program and overall plans organized by The Jewish Experience.  Several community events are scheduled, outlined at cleanspeechcolorado.org
SEMPLICE CONCERT
Sat., Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

 

We're excited to let you know about Semplice's upcoming concert, on Saturday November 16 at 7:30 pm! “From the Temple to the Dance Floor” is a journey through the music of Jewish composers from the 15th through the 18th century, and then forward into the Klezmer tradition of Eastern Europe. This is a reprise of our 2016 and 2018 concerts, finally offered in central Denver, at Kohelet (428 S. Forest St, Denver 80246). Please come even if you have seen it before - we promise there will be new twists! Tickets are $18 (or give what you can afford) at our website or at the door.
